I know, I know. This is another Createblog template. I know better than using a template, but it is pretty though. I just finished my IB rough draft. I can really go for a Dream Latte from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf right now, too bad I don't live in SF. Time for some self-discovery. I also like pretty dresses and procrastination. I promise to update this blog more often.

I know I should be sleeping

but It's such a chilly night out. I feel like staying up like an owl will only earn me some accomplishments. Watch out panda here I come, eyes.

Well, so today has been quite an adventure. Mainly the moral of the story here is that staying optimistic does really change the way you perceive things. now let's see if i can do that for my upcoming WWI and ToK paper. While we're at it, let's hope that i also did well on my ACT (32+ on my reading please!).

For some reason, i thought tomorrow would be a rally day, but it's not... it's a stay after and work your soul for yearbook day. Then I'm going home to feed myself some more world war one stuff. I can't wait.

So, today was also the first day I got roses. Well, wait, I think I got some before for being the accompaniment for angela, she's such a good singer, and it was a pleasure working with her. anyway, so a dozen roses is a big responsibility. they're like princesses you can't touch, except i chopped off their stems and probably made them cry. And i decided im opposed to flowers, except for fake ones of course, because they're lives. my dad brought that to my attention today and somehow that made a lot of sense.

then of course i would kill them because everything i touch turns into stone, im like midas and medusa: everything i touch turn into stone. but i hope it's sedimentary so there might be fossils. lol, see, optimism working again.

so, i tried some vegan cupcakes today and they are delicious. i cant wait to become a vegan when im older, but definitely no soy. soy is disgusting and im glad im only soy through some food. omg, penang curry cheers me up too, just that buttery creamy coconut milk is just making me hungry, 1 in the morning! it was the best birthday meal ever.

so today, i got a card from my mom, that i picked out lol. it was actually pretty fun, and of course it was very cute. linda commented that she likes it when i get along with my mom lol, i think i do too, but thats not going to happen. i think its partly both of our fault anyway, but, hopefully, when i move out, i'll miss her even more than i think i will and we'll become bff again.

its 12:56, 56 minutes after the first day of being 17. i really dont like being 17, things just change, they're no longer what they are anymore. so i decided im getting a copy of le petit prince for me this christmas. why does it have to be a hat? why cant it be an elephant inside a snake? adults are funny, they always do funny things to stop what you want to do. 17 is close to adulthood, right?

"Hellllooooooo!"

I just finished my IB rough draft paper on physics and in a way, I'm happy, because now I get to commence my college applications and test prep. Anyway, so, how about those college applications? I really wonder if admission officers look at all web pages with my screen name. I really hope not :p

Tonight, we're having pasta with pesto sauce! And this time, we have REAL pine nuts and Parmesan cheeeeeeeez. I'm so excited, we can finally be more Italian tonight because we are not going to use canned sauce!

So, yesterday, I played with these little kids at the library because there was a festival there. It was actually a lot less fun than the one last year. I remember Kody and I tried to land some food with the cake walk but we ended not getting anything. My mom dragged me out of the line and told me I was wasting my time - which I was. Goodbye cake!

So, Tony and I did the scavenger hunt booth yesterday, and I don't know if it's just me, but it really didn't look fun. Ok, I know it was for kids 2-12, but if I were 10 I wouldn't even play. And the prizes...looked really old and used.

This kid approached me, picked his nose, and licked his finger (the one that entered his nose)! No wonder I'm sick and coughing right now.. and because I took a prize (it was a chocolate, chill) and ate it without washing my hands (OCD)! I regret it so much, but at least it was dark chocolate. The lady was really nice about giving away prizes, I ended up with a lot of rejects.

In the meantime, Kody and Livi did the fishing booth. Something about those kids tells me that people like free things, especially when you only have to stand in line. I got hit in the head by the little clip on the string, it hurt, and the kid laughed at me. I got a baby toy when I fished.

So, that was a nice contrast to my sojourn to hell that morning (the yearbook room, filled with Saturday School kids). Maybe I got sick there, because it was a perfect breeding ground for H1N1. I need to get vaccinated. At least I got a cup of tea from the T-Bar to compensate the loss of my youth.

While I'm living this week, I'm waiting for my Kimchi Blue Floral Denim Jacket in Washed Ditsy from Urban Outfitters. Again, it was on sale for $20 (orig. $68)! This is absolutely perfect for fall. I also got a cardigan from F21 for $10.80, and I think both will go very well with dresses and dressy tops. It's about time I leave my sweatshirts.
